An upper air high pressure ridge (shaded “Arch” shape with blue arrows) has taken over as our weather maker. our near future is looking dry, bright, and quite a bit warmer as the high pressure keeps any serious storms away. A frontal system (coming from the Northwest) will push inland today with most of its energy again mainly to our north. Also an upper level trough of low pressure (shaded “U” shape following the ridge) will move up sitting offshore Sunday into Monday as a new frontal system slides in Sunday. Great weather for the NCAA Track and Field Championships through Saturday except for the very high grass pollen count. Anyone who is allergic will have to deal with it the best way they can.

The Grass Pollen Count has gone through the roof and is listed at Very High at 398 according to Oregon Allergy Associates.
