Here is my weather quiz question for this week. What is the “Green Sky” effect? Please place your answer as a comment after the forecasts. The first person to post the correct answer will win one week of free personalized weather forecasts tailored to your needs. Good luck.

_______________

A trough of low pressure (the shaded “U” ) is stretching south into California and a surface frontal system has moved southeastward with it our chances for getting wet. High pressure coming out of the Gulf of Alaska  (the shaded “arch”) will dry us out and warm us up. Another frontal system will be pushing into the Pacific Northwest Thursday night through Friday to bring back the chance of rain. By Monday a third frontal system will be offshore ready to bring in even more rain.
