An upper level low (“U” shape) is moving away from Oregon. A short-lived area of high pressure (“Arch” shape in blue arrows) will dry us out tonight and Saturday, but the chance of rain returns by late Saturday night. Summer officially began with the Summer Solstice at 10:04 AM PDT today. Next week we’ll see a frontal system move in Tuesday. It’s still too early to make a weather prediction for the 4th of July.
