Advisories:

A Blue-Green Algae warning continues for Dexter Reservoir, Dorena Reservoir, and Fern Ridge Reservoir, Walterville Pond, and farther away at Devils Lake. Water monitoring has confirmed the presence of blue-green algae that can produce toxins, state public health officials said. The algae levels are likely associated with dangerous cyanotoxin concentrations in the water that can be harmful to humans and animals. Swallowing or inhaling water droplets, as well as skin contact with water, should be avoided according to the authorities.

An upper level ridge of high pressure  (Shaded “Arch” shape) will give us more sunshine again today. An upper level trough of low pressure (Shaded “U” shape on last graphic) will move in behind the high returning the chance for showers Friday.  A cold front will be approaching the Oregon coast over the weekend. Autumn begins at 1:44 PM Sunday 22nd along with the Full Blue Moon (the full moon closest to the Autumnal Equinox), so Summer will be officially  over.
