Another  upper level trough of low pressure (Shaded “U” area with blue arrows) is keeping us under a wet and colder than normal weather pattern. There will be a short break from Sunday into early next week, but don’t be surprised is some sprinkles sneak their way into that “dry period”, it’s happened many times before. Another storm system will approach the Oregon coast early next week.

Here are your detailed forecasts. **

But first a quick look at the weather for the ” Rhododendron Festival” in Florence. Today there will be showers with a chance of afternoon and evening thunderstorms, and a chance of showers at night. Sunday looks better with a mix of clouds and sun after morning clouds and  just a slight (20%) chance of showers. Low temperatures will be in the mid 40’s high in mid to upper 50’s Saturday and a bit warmer Sunday. You should at least have the rain gear even if you don’t need it when you first get there. Remember one important. The Rhododendron is being celebrated and it loves all of the rainy weather from our marine climate. We, after all, were born drip-dry even if our clothes aren’t.
