An upper level trough of low pressure (Shaded “U” area with blue arrows) is following the one that has been over us keeping Oregon  under a wet and colder than normal weather pattern. There will be a short break from the wetter weather today into early next week, but don’t be surprised is some sprinkles sneak their way into that “sort-of dry period”, it’s happened many times before. Another storm system will approach the Oregon coast early next week, about Tuesday.

Here are your detailed forecasts. **

But first a quick look at the weather for the ” Rhododendron Festival” in Florence.  Today looks better than Saturday with a mix of clouds and sun after morning clouds and  just a slight (20%) chance of showers. The high should in mid to upper 50’s, a bit warmer. You should at least have the rain gear even if you don’t need it when you first get there. Remember one important thing. The Rhododendron is being celebrated and it loves all of the rainy weather from our marine climate. We, after all, were born drip-dry even if our clothes aren’t.
