Sorry, no winner this week. Here is my weekly weather quiz question for the last time. What is a “Wasatch wind?”  Here is the correct answer. A Wasatch Wind is a strong easterly wind blowing out of the mouths of the canyons of the Wasatch Mountains onto the plains of Utah. Also called canyon wind. I’ll have a new weekly weather quiz question for you starting Monday. Please remember to post your answer as a comment by clicking on “no comments /comments” in the upper right hand portion of this page under the caption, then add your comment. The first person to post the correct answer will win a week of free personalized weather forecasts tailored to your needs. The answer has to be a comment to win. An email answer will not count. Good luck.

high pressure ridge still controls our weather, but the upper airflow will be swinging more from the coast adding moisture to the air and producing some much needed rain.  A disturbance will slide in to bring the chance of rain to us by Monday evening. Another frontal system could be headed our way by late next week.
