A trough of low pressure (the “U” shaped dip in the jet stream over the Pacific Ocean just offshore) has helped to push a frontal system into the Pacific Northwest bringing back the rain. Monday and Tuesday will have at least some sunshine and no rain in the Valley, but by Tuesday night a new frontal system will be moving through keeping us wet until next weekend.
