The Jet Stream airflow (Shaded area with blue arrows) moving from southwest to northeast is called the “Pineapple Express” because it is warm moist air coming from Hawaii. A frontal system has helped spread warmer air our way increasing our temperatures and slowly melting away the ice and snow. Another frontal system (position shown is Thursday) will approach the Pacific Northwest Wednesday.
