The Jet Stream airflow (Shaded area with blue arrows) moving from southwest to northeast is called the “Pineapple Express” because it is warm moist air coming from Hawaii. A frontal system has moved through spreading warmer air our way increasing our temperatures that melted away the ice and snow. With a short break late today and tonight then another frontal system will move into the Pacific Northwest  Saturday bringing more rain followed by more frontal systems next week.
