Tim Chuey Weather

Here is another chance to answer this weeks weekly weather quiz question. This one should be easy. There is a high speed river of air found in the middle and upper portions of the troposphere that helps control the movement of surface storm systems. What is it called? Please place your answer as a comment after the forecasts. The first person to post the correct answer will win a week of free personalized forecasts tailored to your needs. Good luck.

_______________

trough of low pressure (the “U” shaped dip in the jet stream over the Pacific Ocean just offshore) has helped to push a frontal system into the Pacific Northwest  and that new frontal system is pushing through keeping us wet through Thursday with clearing starting Friday. That means wet weather today for the first part of the NCAA events, but sunshine and warmer for the Friday afternoon and Saturday events. A new storm system will be moving in Monday cooling things down, but it doesn’t look like we will see any rain as a result.
