high pressure ridge (Shaded “Arch” shape with blue arrows) is over the Pacific Northwest but a low (Shaded “U” shape with blue arrows) will be moving slowly into California. A strong frontal system is slamming into California threatening to dump a lot of rain there. It will spread rain our way, but it won’t have the same intensity as it does in California. Another storm will move in Monday followed by others. Look for an extended wet period.
