Tim Chuey Weather

We have a winner! Here is the question again. There is a high speed river of air found in the middle and upper portions of the troposphere that helps control the movement of surface storm systems. What is it called? Congratulations to Dennis he’s the first person to post the correct answer “the jet stream.” That means he’s the winner of one week of free personalized weather forecasts tailored to his needs, as long as he has not won my weekly weather quiz within the last 6 months. That’s just to make sure the same people don’t keep winning to often. I’ll have another weekly weather quiz question for you next Monday. The first person to post the correct answer will win a week of free personalized forecasts tailored to your needs.

_______________

trough of low pressure (the “U” shaped dip in the jet stream over the Pacific Ocean just offshore) has helped to push a frontal system into the Pacific Northwest  and that new frontal system has moved through keeping us wet today with clearing starting Friday. That means wet weather today for the first part of the NCAA events, but sunshine and warmer for the Friday afternoon and Saturday events. A new weak storm will be moving in Monday cooling things down, but it doesn’t look like we will see any rain as a result.

Advisories:  NONE AT THIS TIME.
