Here is my new weekly weather quiz question. Define the term “Texas Hooker,” and no your first guess count. Please remember to post your answer as a comment by clicking on “no comments /comments” in the upper right hand portion of this page under the caption, then add your comment. The first person to post the correct answer will win a week of free personalized weather forecasts tailored to your needs. The answer has to be a comment to win. An email answer will not count. Good luck.

trough of low pressure (Shaded “U” shape with blue arrows) is off the California coast funneling warm moist air up from Hawaii, you remember the “Pineapple Express.” An occluded front moved in behind the the warm front that pushed to the north increasing the rain chances and today another front will move through. A high pressure ridge (Shaded “Arch” shape offshore) will take over for Friday and part of Saturday to dry us out a bit. Yet another frontal system will be moving in from the west Sunday as upper level low pressure approaches the coast again.
