It’s Monday, so it’s time for my weekly weather quiz question. Here goes. What common name do we have for an electrostatic discharge that is accompanied by the emission of visible light and other forms of electromagnetic radiation? Please place your answer as a comment after the forecasts. The first person to post the correct answer will win one week of free personalized forecasts tailored to their needs. Good luck.
_______________
A high pressure ridge (“Arch” shaped section of shaded area over western Canada and the Rocky Mountain states) has taken over and will be keeping the rain away for a quite a while. A weak frontal system has moved down the ridge and into the Pacific Northwest , but all it is doing is cool us down a bit and then about mid week we could see a chance of showers as an upper level trough of low pressure approaches. Summer officially begins a week from today on June 21st at 4:28 AM Pacific Daylight Time.
