Sorry, no winner this week. Here is my weekly weather quiz question for the last time. What is a “Jetty?” Here is the correct answer. A Jetty is in hydrologic terms, a structure (e.g.; a pier, or mole of wood or stone) extending into a sea, lake, or river to influence the current or tide or to protect a harbor. I’ll have a new weekly weather quiz question for you starting Monday. Please remember to post your answer as a comment by clicking on “no comments /comments” in the upper right hand portion of this page under the caption, then add your comment. The first person to post the correct answer will win a week of free personalized weather forecasts tailored to your needs. The answer has to be a comment to win. An email answer will not count. Good luck.

An Upper level trough of low pressure (Shaded “U” shape) is moving eastward and will be replaced by a high pressure ridge (Shaded “Arch”shape on previous graphic). A frontal system pushed through Oregon overnight and early this morning. Behind it we will see clouds, a little sun, and decreasing chances of showers. Look for plenty of sunshine and warmer temperatures for your workweek.
