Here is my new weekly weather quiz question. What is a “gale?” Please remember to post your answer as a comment by clicking on “no comments /comments” in the upper right hand portion of this page under the caption, then add your comment. The first person to post the correct answer will win a week of free personalized weather forecasts tailored to your needs. The answer has to be a comment to win. An email answer will not count. Good luck.

An upper level low (Shaded “U” shape with blue arrows) is moving over Oregon and is pushing a frontal system through returning the chance for showers. Notice the drastic drop in high temperatures today. Be on the lookout through the clouds for the Full Strawberry Moon at 10:11 PM tonight. A frontal system (position shown is Sunday) will approach the coast Saturday brushing through mainly the northern reaches of the area producing a slight chance of showers up there Saturday night and Sunday. Changing weather for the track events.
