Here again is my weekly weather quiz question. What is the difference between a hurricane and a typhoon? Please post your answer as a comment after the forecasts. The first person to post the correct answer will win a week of free personalized weather forecasts tailored to their needs. Good luck.

_______________

The jet stream will be sending waves of alternating weak high pressure and low pressure over the rest of the week into the weekend. The result will be a continuation of the unsettled weather pattern that will be a roller coaster from clouds with a chance of sprinkles to more sun and dry and back again. Look at the surface maps and you’ll see high pressure at the surface and a weak cold front over the Pacific will bring just the chance of sprinkles.

_______________

Advisories:  NONE AT THIS TIME.

**Because weather forecasting is a combination of science, intuition, and timing there can be no absolute guarantees that individual forecasts will be 100% accurate. Nature is in a constant state of flux and sudden unexpected weather events can happen.
