Here is my new weekly weather quiz question. What is “radiational cooling?” Please remember to post your answer as a comment by clicking on “no comments /comments” in the upper right hand portion of this page under the caption, then add your comment. The first person to post the correct answer will win a week of free personalized weather forecasts tailored to your needs. The answer has to be a comment to win. An email answer will not count. Good luck.

Get ready as an upper air high pressure ridge (Shaded “Arch” shape with blue arrows) takes over clearing out the clouds. Drying will start today and continue through the workweek. A cold front will move in Wednesday cooling our high temperatures.  So far it looks like the 4th of July will be a nice dry day with temperatures that are a bit cooler, but just about normal. With luck it will hold for the holiday weekend too, but we’ll have to wait and see.
