Here is my new weekly weather quiz question. What is “radiational cooling?” Please remember to post your answer as a comment by clicking on “no comments /comments” in the upper right hand portion of this page under the caption, then add your comment. Get ready as an upper air high pressure ridge (Shaded “Arch” shape with blue arrows) takes over seriously heating us up. Drying will continue through the workweek. A cold front (position shown is Friday) will move in by Thursday cooling our high temperatures. So far it looks like the 4th of July will be a nice dry day with temperatures that are cooler, but just about normal. With luck it will hold for the holiday weekend too, but we’ll have to wait and see.
