Now an upper level high pressure ridge (Shaded “Arch” shape with blue arrows) is moving eastward away from us allowing onshore airflow which cooled us rapidly back to near normal. Upper level low pressure (Shaded “U” shape on previous graphic) will bring more onshore airflow continuing the cooling trend. A cold front moved through today also aiding the cooling our high temperatures. It looks like the 4th of July will be a nice dry day with temperatures just about normal. With luck it should hold for the holiday weekend too, but we’ll have to wait and see.
