A frontal system moves into Oregon with cooler air behind it. An upper level low (Shaded “U” shape with blue arrows) slid down ahead of an upper level high pressure ridge (Shaded “Arch” shape with blue arrows) and it give us another cooler day. It will be sunny and increasingly warmer, actually hot for two days as the ridge of high pressure takes over. As the winds strengthen from the east due to the high we will see more smoke from the wildfire near Oakridge penetrate into the valley areas later this week. A cold front will move onto Oregon Sunday cleaning at least most of the smoke from the valley.
