An upper level trough of low pressure (Shaded “U” shape with blue arrows) will swing to the south and east at us increasing the onshore airflow. That will continue the cooling trend and hopefully scour out the smoke from the wildfires that surround us. As the winds shifted more from the Southwest smoke from the wildfire west of Cottage Grove moved in particularly in the South Hills of Eugene. The increased onshore airflow could mix the air enough to cut back the smokey haze. The Full Harvest Moon takes place at 6:38 PM this evening. It’s also the third super moon. Won’t be another one for quite a while.
