An upper level high pressure ridge (Shaded “Arch” shape with blue arrows) is moving eastward away from us and a trough of low pressure is following close behind. A weak cold front will fall apart as it slides into the Pacific Northwest today. Autumn officially begins with the Autumnal Equinox at 7:29 PM this evening. Another frontal system looks like it will move through Oregon Wednesday bringing even cooler temperatures and the possibility of much needed rain.
