An upper level high pressure ridge (Shaded “Arch” shape with blue arrows) is moving eastward away from us and a trough of low pressure is following close behind. A weak cold front fell apart as it slid into the Pacific Northwest. Autumn officially began with the Autumnal Equinox at 7:29 PM Monday evening. Another frontal system (Position shown is Thursday) looks like it will move through Oregon Wednesday bringing even cooler temperatures and the possibility of much needed rain.
