Here is my new weekly weather quiz question. What is a “Turkey Tower?” Please remember to post your answer as a comment by clicking on “no comments /comments” in the upper right hand portion of this page under the caption, then add your comment. The first person to post the correct answer will win a week of free personalized weather forecasts tailored to your needs. The answer has to be a comment to win. An email answer will not count. Good luck.

An upper level trough of low pressure (Shaded “U” shape with blue arrows) will stay close by to keep the flow of moisture moving through the Pacific Northwest for another day. A frontal system followed the upper level flow, dropped a lot of rain, and moved past Oregon. The official rain total for Eugene Wednesday was 0.74 inches while my rain gauge showed 1.28 inches of rain and of course more fell today.
