An upper level low pressure trough ( shaded “U” shape with blue arrows) will keep the precipitation around as it slowly moves eastward. A frontal system pushed southward through Oregon and then a warm front moved back to the north today. The cold front (shown offshore) will move in Saturday producing more rain. With all of the clouds Thursday it was nearly impossible to see the partial solar eclipse here in Eugene. Here is a look at it from various US locations from space.com.
