No winner this week. Here is my weekly weather quiz question for the last time. What is “tailwater height?” Here is the correct answer. Tailwater Height in hydrologic terms is the height of water immediately downstream of the dam. I’ll have a new weekly weather quiz question starting Monday. Please remember to post your answer as a comment by clicking on “no comments /comments” in the upper right hand portion of this page under the caption, then add your comment. The first person to post the correct answer will win a week of free personalized weather forecasts tailored to your needs. The answer has to be a comment to win. An email answer will not count. Good luck.

A strong upper level low (Shaded “U” shape with blue arrows) sent a frontal system through the Pacific Northwest and another frontal system (shown offshore) will bring the warm front Sunday followed by the cold front by Monday. The low will also move eastward. Remember Daylight Saving Time ends officially at 2:00 AM Sunday so you’ll have to “Fall Back” by turning your clock back one hour at bedtime tonight. The Fire Department suggests you check the battery status of your smoke alarms and CO2 detectors to make sure they are in good working order.
