An  upper level high (Shaded “Arch” shape with blue arrows) is going to remain north of us continuing to send cold air down from the north, but the coldest air will still stay to the north as  a frontal system straddles the Pacific Northwest from Northwest to Southeast. Than is keeping the coldest temperatures north of the South Willamette Valley.
