An upper level high pressure ridge  (Shaded “Arch” shape with blue arrows) continues to move eastward and behind it is a strong trough of low pressure (Shaded “U” shape with blue arrows) that will keep us in turbulent weather for a while. A cold front has already moved into the Pacific bringing plenty of rain with it.  Another stronger frontal system (shown to the northwest over the ocean) will drop down through Oregon between Friday night and Saturday adding even more moisture.
