An upper level high pressure ridge  (Shaded “Arch” shape with blue arrows) continues to move eastward and behind it is a strong trough of low pressure (Shaded “U” shape with blue arrows) that will keep us in turbulent weather for a while. A  frontal system  will move through between tonight and Saturday. Cold air behind that front will drop snow levels to 1,000 ft. Saturday. No accumulation is expected on the valley floor.

• A WIND ADVISORY IS IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 PM TODAY FOR NORTHERN AND EASTERN KLAMATH COUNTY, AND WESTERN, CENTRAL AND EASTERN  LAKE COUNTY.
• THE HEALTH ADVISORY FOR THE PRESENCE OF BLUE-GREEN ALGAE IN WILLOW CREEK RESERVOIR IN MORROW COUNTY, 40 MILES SW OF BEND AND FOR TENMILE LAKES IN COOS COUNTY HAVE BEEN LIFTED. TESTING HAS SHOWN THAT THE BLUE-GREEN ALGAE TOXINS HAVE DECREASED ENOUGH FOR THE WATER TO BE CONSIDERED SAFE.
• A HEALTH ADVISORY CONTINUES FOR THE PRESENCE OF BLUE-GREEN ALGAE AT DEVILS LAKE IN LINCOLN COUNTY. THE TOXIC ALGAE BLOOM MEANS THAT PEOPLE SHOULD NOT DRINK OR HAVE DIRECT CONTACT WITH THE AFFECTED WATER AND THAT ALSO GOES FOR ANY PETS.

THE CIVIL WAR – Ducks vs Beavers at Reser Stadium Kickoff 5:00 PM: Mostly cloudy with a good 50% chance of rain and snow showers in the afternoon, partly cloudy with a slight chance of evening rain and snow showers that continue overnight, temperature near 42 cooling into the 30s as the game progresses.
