Sorry, no winner this week. Here is my weekly weather quiz question for the last time. What is the “exosphere ?” Here is the correct answer. The Exosphere is the upper most layer of the earth’s atmosphere; the only layer where atmospheric gases can escape into outer space. I’ll have a new weekly weather quiz question for you starting Monday. Please remember to post your answer as a comment by clicking on “no comments /comments” in the upper right hand portion of this page under the caption, then add your comment. The first person to post the correct answer will win a week of free personalized weather forecasts tailored to your needs. The answer has to be a comment to win. An email answer will not count. Good luck.

An upper level high pressure ridge  (Shaded “Arch” shape with blue arrows) continues to move eastward and behind it is a strong trough of low pressure (Shaded “U” shape with blue arrows) that will keep us in turbulent weather for a while. A  frontal system  pushed through overnight. Cold air behind that front will drop snow levels to 1,000 feet, but no accumulation is expected on the valley floor.
