An upper level high pressure ridge  (Shaded “Arch” shape with blue arrows) continues to move eastward over us. Low pressure offshore will ride northward spreading showers. A warmer frontal system (position shown is Saturday) will push into Oregon Friday increasing the rain chances as it moves through.

• A FREEZE WARNING IS IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 PM THIS EVENING FOR THE UPPER HOOD RIVER VALLEY.
• A FREEZING RAIN ADVISORY IS IN EFFECT UNTIL 4 PM TODAY FOR THE WESTERN COLUMBIA RIVER GORGE AND THE NORTHERN OREGON CASCADES.
• A FREEZING RAIN ADVISORY IS IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 PM TODAY FOR THE CENTRAL COLUMBIA RIVER GORGE AND THE UPPER HOOD RIVER VALLEY.
•  A HEALTH ADVISORY HAS BEEN ISSUED DUE TO HIGH LEVELS OF BLUE-GREEN ALGAE IN LOST CREEK LAKE , LOCATED 30 MILES NORTHEAST OF MEDFORD  ON THE ROGUE RIVER IN JACKSON COUNTY. THE TOXIC ALGAE BLOOM MEANS THAT PEOPLE SHOULD NOT DRINK OR HAVE DIRECT CONTACT WITH THE AFFECTED WATER AND THAT ALSO GOES FOR ANY PETS.
• A HEALTH ADVISORY CONTINUES FOR THE PRESENCE OF BLUE-GREEN ALGAE AT DEVILS LAKE IN LINCOLN COUNTY. THE TOXIC ALGAE BLOOM MEANS THAT PEOPLE SHOULD NOT DRINK OR HAVE DIRECT CONTACT WITH THE AFFECTED WATER AND THAT ALSO GOES FOR ANY PETS.
