An upper level high pressure ridge at the surface has been keeping an inversion over us. That means warm air is sitting above the colder air at the surface producing low clouds and fog which are trapped at the the southern end of the Willamette Valley.  A frontal system will bring back the chance of showers will return by late tonight and Thursday. Note: Willamette Pass, Hoodoo, and Mt. Ashland are all closed for now. They say they will be opening again when enough snow falls. Check their websites for conditions and specific schedules.

• A HEALTH ADVISORY CONTINUES FOR THE PRESENCE OF BLUE-GREEN ALGAE AT LOST CREEK LAKE , LOCATED 30 MILES NORTHEAST OF MEDFORD ON THE ROGUE RIVER IN JACKSON COUNTY AND AT DEVILS LAKE IN LINCOLN COUNTY. THE TOXIC ALGAE BLOOM MEANS THAT PEOPLE SHOULD NOT DRINK OR HAVE DIRECT CONTACT WITH THE AFFECTED WATER AND THAT ALSO GOES FOR ANY PETS.
