No winner this week. Here is my weekly weather quiz question for the last time. What is an “ inflow stinger?” Here is the correct answer. An Inflow Stinger is a beaver tail cloud with a stinger-like shape. I’ll have a new weekly weather quiz question for you starting Saturday. Please remember to post your answer as a comment by clicking on “no comments /comments” in the upper right hand portion of this page under the caption, then add your comment. The first person to post the correct answer will win a week of free personalized weather forecasts tailored to your needs. The answer has to be a comment to win. An email answer will not count. Good luck.

An upper level high pressure ridge strengthened again continuing the clouds and fog with some more afternoon sunshine yesterday. A frontal system brought back the rain today. More fronts will follow to keep us in showers. Another frontal system will approach the the Pacific Northwest Thursday continuing our chances for rain. Note: Willamette Pass, Hoodoo, and Mt. Ashland are all still closed for now. They say they will be opening again when enough snow falls. Check their websites for conditions and specific schedules.
