Here is my weekly weather quiz question for the last time. What is a “fall line?” Here is the correct answer. A Fall Line is a skiing term, indicating the line of steepest descent of a slope. I’ll have a new weekly weather quiz question for you starting Monday. Please remember to post your answer as a comment by clicking on “no comments /comments” in the upper right hand portion of this page under the caption, then add your comment. The first person to post the correct answer will win a week of free personalized weather forecasts tailored to your needs. The answer has to be a comment to win. An email answer will not count. Good luck.

The jet stream is sending storms with a lot of moisture at us from over the Pacific Ocean. A frontal system brought rain and wind today and another one is following behind it. Another frontal system will approach the the Pacific Northwest by the end of the week increasing our chances for rain and wind again. Note: Willamette Pass, Hoodoo, and Mt. Ashland are all still closed for now. They say they will be opening again when enough snow falls. Check their websites for conditions and specific schedules.
