An upper level ridge of high pressure (Shaded “Arch” shape with blue arrows)  has taken over returning the sunshine and dry weather. Expect temperatures rising into the low 70s to about 80 in the Umpqua Basin which puts us 10 degrees or more above normal. The ridge will weaken a bit allowing a frontal system to cool the temperatures just a bit Friday night and Saturday. A frontal system will approach the coast Tuesday and bring back the chance of rain Tuesday night and Wednesday.
