No winner this week. Here is my weekly weather quiz question for the last time. What does the acronym “SLOSH” represent? And here is the correct answer. SLOSH (Sea, Lake and Overland Surges from Hurricanes) – A computer model run by the National Hurricane Center (NHC) to estimate storm surge heights resulting from historical, hypothetical, or predicted hurricanes by taking into account pressure, size, forward speed, track, and winds. I’ll have a new weekly weather quiz question for you starting Monday. Please remember to post your answer as a comment by clicking on “no comments /comments” in the upper right hand portion of this page under the caption, then add your comment. The first person to post the correct answer will win a week of free personalized weather forecasts tailored to your needs. The answer has to be a comment to win. An email answer will not count. Good luck.

An upper level low pressure trough has been controlling our weather cycling one low and now another low through Oregon keeping at least a slight chance of showers with us for a while.
