A weak upper level low pressure trough (the “U” shaped dip in the yellow jet stream line) is going to stay positioned offshore for a while and that will keep our temperatures in a more comfortable range. There will still be a slight chance of mountain thunderstorms through this evening. The trough will start moving eastward and by early next week high pressure will start to build in behind it.
