An upper level high pressure ridge (“Arch” shape with blue arrows offshore) has taken over to keep us warmer than normal. An upper level low (Shaded “U” shape with blue arrows of the same graphic) will swing in through northern California returning the clouds and the chance of showers and at the same time cool us down.
