Tim Chuey Weather

Sorry, but no winner for my weekly weather quiz question this week. Here it is one more time. Where in the world do they have the most days of thunderstorms in a calendar year? Again, extra congratulation points if you can give the number of thunderstorms there per year. The answer is the Island of Java in Indonesia where they have 322 days with thunderstorms per year.  I’ll have another weather quiz question starting next Monday. Remember, the first person to post the correct answer will win one week of free personalized weather forecasts tailored to your needs.

______________

An upper level low pressure trough (the  “U” shaped dip in the yellow jet stream line) is starting to move eastward over the Pacific Northwest. That will give us more clouds, a slight chance of drizzle, and cool our temperatures a bit as a result. High pressure aloft (the “arch” shaped yellow line) and a surface high pressure center over the Eastern Pacific (represented by the blue “H”) will build in it early next week keeping much needed rain away from us.

Advisories: NONE AT THIS TIME.
