An upper level high pressure ridge (Shaded “Arch” shape with blue arrows) has been controlling our allowing temperatures to rise to well above normal. The ridge is moving to the east allowing a increased westerly marine flow of air to cool us down a bit. A frontal system will bring even cooler air by Friday.
