Here is my weekly weather quiz question.  A total of 3,696 people died in the United States from 1959 to 2003 due to this weather phenomenon. What is it? Please post your answer as a comment after the forecasts. The first person to post the correct answer will win a week of free personalized weather forecasts tailored to your needs. Good luck.

______________

An upper level over the state of Washington is increasing the onshore air flow. That means more clouds and even a chance of some light rain along the North Oregon coast.  A cold front will slide down from the Northwest next weekend. Also, be prepared for  more smoke high over the area from fires in British Columbia. Smoke is collecting over the Deschutes National Forest and could slowly move toward us when the offshore airflow returns pushing the smoke from East to West.

_______________

Advisories: NONE AT THIS TIME.
