A high pressure ridge (Shaded “Arch” shape in blue arrows) is getting weaker. Low pressure moving its way up at us from the south adds enough moisture for a chance of thunderstorms mainly at the coast and Cascade Crest. High pressure strengthens and we warm up again with a bit of a cool-down For the 4th of July.
