A Wasatch Wind is a strong easterly wind blowing out of the mouths of the canyons of the Wasatch Mountains onto the plains of Utah. It is also called canyon wind. A high pressure ridge (Shaded “Arch” shape with blue arrows) is moving over the Pacific Northwest and warmed us up to record heat Saturday. There will be a little cooling today, but it will still be hot. The more serious cooling will take place in the beginning of the workweek.
