Here is my weekly weather quiz question. What is the wettest place in the world? An extra cheer for you if you can tell me the average rainfall there. Please post your answer as a comment after the forecasts. The first person to post the correct answer will win a week of free personalized weather forecasts tailored to your needs. Good luck.

______________

An upper level low will slide into the low pressure trough over Washington and Oregon (see “U” shape formed by the blue arrows) keeping us in the onshore air flow as it moves to the East. High pressure will start to build up Friday giving us offshore flow and warming us up quite a bit Saturday and Sunday. Another trough of low pressure will move in Monday cooling us back down again. There is still smoke high in the atmosphere over us from Canadian fires. So far that smoke has not come down to the surface. Smoke is still collecting over the Deschutes National Forest near Sisters and could slowly move toward us if and when the offshore airflow returns pushing the smoke from East to West.
