Here is my weekly weather quiz question for the last time. What is “Deep Percolation Loss?” Here is the correct answer. Deep Percolation Loss in hydrologic terms, water that percolates downward through the soil beyond the reach of plant roots. I’ll have a new weekly weather quiz question for you starting Monday. Please remember to post your answer as a comment by clicking on “no comments /comments” in the upper right hand portion of this page under the caption, then add your comment. The first person to post the correct answer will win a week of free personalized weather forecasts tailored to your needs. The answer has to be a comment to win. An email answer will not count. Good luck.

High pressure (“Arch” shape in blue arrows brings us sunshine and warmer temperatures for the beginning of the workweek. The slight chance of showers will return for one day Wednesday. You might want to look up this evening to see the “Super Moon Lunar Eclipse.” Here in the Pacific Northwest the moon will rise around 7 pm at which time the eclipse will be in totality and then continue to reveal the full Blood Moon when it is done. It’s called a Super Moon because it will look larger than normal due to its position relative to the earth.
