Here is my new weekly weather quiz question. Since it has been so hot I thought I’d give you a question that might cool you off. Here it is. What location in the world set the record for the most snowfall in one season? Extra congratulations if you know the total snowfall measured and when it occurred. Please post your answer as a comment after the forecasts. The first person to post the correct answer will win a week of free personalized weather forecasts tailored to your needs. Good luck.

An upper level High Pressure ridge is weakening (See the “Arch” shaped area) is moving to the East.  A trough of low pressure will develop and move toward us (See “U” shape ) and another low (see small yellow circle) will move through Southern Oregon and Northern California then a cold front will be moving through Oregon Thursday. All of those combine to produce cooler weather with increased onshore airflow over the Pacific Northwest.
