Here is my weekly weather quiz question for the last time. What is “SafetyNET?” Here is the correct answer. SafetyNET: Inmarsat-C SafetyNET is an internationally adopted, automated satellite system for promulgating weather forecasts and warnings, marine navigational warnings and other safety related information to all types vessels and is part of the Global Maritime Distress and Safety System (GMDSS). I’ll have a new weekly weather quiz question for you starting Monday. Please remember to post your answer as a comment by clicking on “no comments /comments” in the upper right hand portion of this page under the caption, then add your comment. The first person to post the correct answer will win a week of free personalized weather forecasts tailored to your needs. The answer has to be a comment to win. An email answer will not count. Good luck.

An upper level high pressure ridge (Shaded “Arch” shaped area with blue arrows) took over today drying us out after some AM showers. Another low (Shaded “U” shape with blue arrows) will follow bring more clouds and cooling us down again by Tuesday. Then the chance of rain returns on Wednesday. For those who are wondering, Daylight Saving Time officially ends and Standard Time returns at 2:00 am Sunday November 1st (Or at Bedtime Saturday October 31st, Halloween).
