Here is my weekly weather quiz question for the last time. What is “a Land Breeze?” Here is the correct answer. A Land Breeze is a coastal breeze at night blowing from land to sea, caused by the difference in the rates of cooling of their respective surfaces. I’ll have a new weekly weather quiz question for you starting Monday. Please remember to post your answer as a comment by clicking on “no comments /comments” in the upper right hand portion of this page under the caption, then add your comment. The first person to post the correct answer will win a week of free personalized weather forecasts tailored to your needs. The answer has to be a comment to win. An email answer will not count. Good luck.

A weak ridge of high pressure will be building up again clearing things out. Another frontal system will be moving through the Pacific Northwest Tuesday, but it will fizzle out and the high pressure will strengthen to keep the rain away from us. Yet another frontal system will hit the coast Sunday, but this time there will be a chance of getting wet Saturday and Sunday AM. Remember, Daylight Saving Time officially ends and Standard Time returns at 2:00 am Sunday November 1st (Or at Bedtime Saturday October 31st, Halloween).
